LED on 120 vac

Here's a little circuit I found on the web. It's nothing fancy simply powering led with 120 vac. The lower they are the lower the amp for the led. No idea either of the efficiency all I know is you can use from 1 to lots of led 300v is the max you can go. You can add a filtering capacitor on both circuit but beware that if an led goes open this could lead to the filtering cap destruction.
