I've been making my own law for years.
Log law potentiometers are becoming difficult to get. So, if you want to make one from a linear law potentiometer, add a resistor with approximately 20% of the value in ohms, of the pot.
This resistor is a shunt, but as you see from the interactive diagram, it works perfectly well.
The only restriction on every circuit, is that there is always a 1K ohm value at the top of every potentiometer. For this reason, I have included a switch. This switch allows you to bypass that 1k part of the potentiometer.
In this example you can see a 50k ohms linear pot, with a 10k ohm shunt.
