Pulse skipping current modulation

The orange waveform is the tank current of the resonant circuit, the green one is the OCD (over current detector) limit and the blue one is the rectified current feedback from the tank circuit. This circuit makes an LC tank circuit resonate and stay under a certain current limit and it's going to be used on a tesla coil with all the logic implemented in a CPLD :) -nik

Why is this circuit shit for you? @carlos2201

Cause he is not capable to draw up a useful/rational criticism

Niki, carlos just separates in friend and enemy. You are not his friend, dont worry he is on the track Lenny is his friend. Till the day Lenny gives him a backpack and telling him to go in a concert were he should press a button. If he will do that, he will come to heaven, thats what Lenny tells Carlos. And Carlos is this kind of stupid, he will do, cuz he trust in Lenny.

I don't really care about them. If i like tyeir circuit i say i like them. If not i say what's wrong. What do you think of this resonant circuit? I'm planning to use it to modulate the current in the primary of a tesla coil!

Im a little afraid about to find 300V+ mosfets which can handel such a high current. Its probably something for IGBTs

I'm going to use igbts a bit more powerful than fgh75n60 in fact. I was talking about the logic part, Could it be improved?

You asked me about the resonace circuit. Whats more I see big problems is the gate voltage, I hope you just simplified it here in simulation and you will do it anyway differnet when using IGBTs

I futher hope you realise that power supply, mosfets, resonator, transformator. All these components are part of the resonator. Most interessting is the power supply and as I already said the mosfets.

Of course i'm not going to give 300V to the gate of the fets! In reality between the resonator and the CPLD (that is similar to an FPGA) there are two gate drivers (TC4427) two mosfet half bridges (FDD8424) one dcblock capacitor, two GDTs (N30 5700nH rings) then resistors gate protection diodes and then a double FGH75N60 (or similar IGBTs) full bridge with 1.5Kw TVS diodes, and for the power supply a big variac with 16A rectifier with 8000uF 450V bus capacitor and 8uF 400V snubber capacitor.

The power part of the circuit there is over simplified but the interesting thing to see is how the logic part keeps the peak current nearly constant on the resonator😁

How come you didn't anticipate all of that Hurz? ... I suppose it's to be expected from a poor receiver like you... Thanks for teaching us that.

Mr 2cent what is you anticipate with your 400Hz Led mosfet arduino driver? Troll

I guess niki learned quite a lot things from me and nothing really from you Mr 2cent. Go and mess with foreign circuits.

Why can't you two just ignore each other?

He is talking to much bullshit about electronics and I cant listen to his shit. So somebody has to stop him from time to time and bring him down to earth before he get completely crazy.
