A simple circuit with three groups of LEDs or larger light bulbs, which can be turned on or off independently, each with their own contact. Some of them lights well enough, but others blow up, either due to exposure of too much voltage, too much current or too much power. Try it out, play with it, check the electrical ratings of all the lighting components and use Ohm's Law (U = R x I) and the Power Equation (P = U x I or Power = Voltage x Current) to calculate voltages and powers over or inside them in order to explain what happens with them! Have Fun! 🙂
NB: This circuit was inspired by Simply Electronics' series Basic Electronics part 4. (Or Electronics Basics).
