Interesting 👍. I noticed that the lamps only receive half of the AC voltage. This would not be a problem for lamps (except that the power would be less), but might be a problem for other elements that expect full wave AC.

Yes that's right, I forgot to add what you have written. It' just for lamp may be usefull when for some strange reason only one wire is available between the components (you may imagine also long distance or difficulties to add other wires)
