A simple example with a DC power supply and three LEDs in respectively a parallel and series connection and enough voltmeters and amperemeters placed around in the circuit, showing what is happening to the electrical currents and voltages in or over all the components of both connection types. In a parallel connection all branches will have one common voltage over them and divide the current coming into the circuit. In a series connection it is opposit: all components share the same current going through them, but divide the voltage from the power supply into smaller fractions over each component! NB: These circuits were inspired by or taken from the Basic Electronics series by Simply Electronics at YouTube. Check also my other circuits about basic electronics and if you like them, please give me a thumbs up! 🙂
